PTD Alumni welcome the effort taken by former PTD officers to write about their working experience while in service. I realise that it is not an easy task to write a book about oneself and our life history unless one has some reasonable records and good recollections of events as well as the willpower and determination to put them into writing.
I believe that the publication of Datuk Wira Ahmad Rusli’s book will add to the documentation of experiences of former PTD officers. Young officers from the PTD and other services can benefit from reading these kinds of books.
Reading the book gave me a nostalgic feeling about what a wonderful life in the PTD of which I served for 34 years, from 1966 to 2001.
